Why do the divine AI-characters' movements look human?
One of the feedback/questions I’ve received since the episodes went LIVE is:
“Why do the divine character's body movements or His lips move like those of a human? Shouldn’t it be more regal, smooth, or majestic?”
This question was specifically raised when the Vishnudutas (the messengers of Lord Vishnu) were shown conversing with the Yamadutas (the messengers of death) in the Ajamila movie. So, the question is connected especially with the divine beings presented in the movie.
It’s a thoughtful observation - and one that I believe deserves two answers: one technical and one philosophical.
The Technical Side
Technically speaking, all motion graphics you see on screen are built from reference acting that I perform myself. The AI tool I use requires a real human body’s movement and facial expressions as the base, and then recreates those actions onto the characters. That means my human-like gestures inevitably carry through into the finished animation.
At the current stage of technology, there’s no other way for the AI to “invent” body language that matches divine or majestic qualities. It only knows what it sees in the performance given to it. I’m also constantly working on improving my own acting and expressions so the characters can be portrayed with more depth, grace, and authenticity in future episodes.
The Personality Side
Beyond the technical explanation lies something even more interesting - the aspect of personality. Every living being, whether in the material world or the spiritual world, has their own unique individuality. Just as we see diversity in people here on Earth, there is also diversity in the spiritual realm.
The Vishnudutas are not generic beings; they are fully spiritual personalities with their own ways of expressing themselves. It’s possible that one of them might speak in a style that appears more direct and human-like, while another may carry a more regal, majestic presence. The same applies to the Supreme Lord Himself. Depending on the circumstance, He may choose to appear with royal gravity, or He may display approachable, intimate gestures.
The truth is, we cannot restrict their expressions. Their personalities are vast, eternal, and ever fresh—sometimes majestic, sometimes tender, but always divine.
So, while the “human-like” gestures you notice are partly the result of my acting filtered through the AI tool, they also reflect a deeper reality: that individuality and personality exist everywhere, even in the spiritual world. The beauty lies in this diversity—because it reminds us that the divine is not distant, but personal and relatable.
Hope that makes sense :)
