My commissioned AI films screened at a global spiritual retreat

A few months ago, I shared that I was working on a commissioned series of AI-assisted movies based on three major chapters from the ancient spiritual book, the Srimad Bhagavatam. I’m happy to say that I wrapped up the project in mid-November, with six episodes completed - just in time to head off on a much-needed vacation!

Now that I’m back, there’s some lovely news to share: the movies were first screened at a large spiritual retreat in India, with over 300 attendees.

I was told that everyone really enjoyed it. It was also the very first time an animation of these ancient stories, let alone an AI-generated one, had ever been shown in this retreat’s 20+ year history. Devotees from all over the world were present, which made the whole thing feel even more special.

What touched me most were the messages of appreciation I received afterwards. A few attendees recognised that I was the person behind the films and reached out to say how much they liked them. It’s always heartwarming to be acknowledged for your work, even when that’s not the reason you created it. Feedback like that is encouraging - it makes you want to keep going, to create more, and to go a bit deeper each time. And that’s exactly what I plan to do in the coming months.

For now, these six episodes are on a kind of “screening tour” and will hopefully be available on our YouTube channel by July 2026, once they’ve been shown in a few more places.
